Make Room

Good Monday Morning!

Confession time. There’s a popular verse in the Bible that I’ve never quite understood.

My big hangup has always been, if I’m in the Lord, why do I care about getting in front of great men? It’s always seemed like a bit of a downgrade - to me 🤣

As Scripture - the living word does, this verse makes more sense the older I get and the more He puts me in places beyond my resume and what I tell myself my skill set is. At times I’ve suffered from knowing me too well, so well that I tell and then repeatedly confirm my limits which leaves me stuck in a place.

Proverbs 16:18 reminds, the gift(s) the Lord deposits in us take us to places, open doors and put us in seats that we could never get to on our own. I’m getting it, my focus has been on the wrong end of the verse.

It’s not who or where we end up, rather who gives us the gift to get there. As we spend the next few days getting our last Christmas gifts together for our family and friends, take time to also thank God for the gifts He has deposited in you. 

Surely, God has deposited more strength, wisdom and ability in you than you currently credit yourself with having. As He makes clear what you got - in Him: May He make room for you as He takes you to places of great success as only Christ can. 

LOL. I now hear “the sky’s the limit differently” 🤣🤣😇
